cannot synchronized

my problem is when i connect my phone to my laptop in phone mode,it cannot be detected by the sony pc suite..it keep telling that is no phone is connected, therefore i cnnot synchronized my phone with my laptop..someone pliz help me...
if im using file mode transfer,it can be detected by my laptop and can transfer file..my phone is p1i

this happened to me before, try to restart ur phone then reconnect..if that doesnt work, you have to reinstall pc suite

i have do both, but still cannot detect my phone in phone mode...

try with another pc, if work the problem is in your pc - try to reinstall usb at device manager
or try with another phone , if work the problem in in your phone - try to restart your phone

this happened to me too, and in my case, usb in my pc is not stable (only read file transfer) - i install new usb card to my pc, and it work
