I was following this thread, by the way, does anybody knows a solution to have more than 6.5M free at p990? (this is my typical free RAM and I'm using SwissMgr Pro 1.7 - I have orgnzr cxc162036 R6D23 and run GDesk) Cheers |

answering to my own question. I have increased the memory level claim to level 3 and I have now typically more than 10 MB, 15 MB at start-up. Anyhow it is a very few memory for a pda with the purposes of p990i. It is incredible how SE R&D/Mkt mgmt allowed to release this phone with this ridiculous memory size and very poor memory mgmt. Does anybody knows another turnaround for this issue?  Cheers! |

I will post something here that probably won't be that popular with some people. Nothing in life is free. Everything has a cost. Zed from CPS is one of the very few sofware developers still writing new applications for UIQ. He has stated publicly that if Swiss Manager is cracked there will be no more development. Also, if the number of purchased copies is too small, then it is pointless continuing work in the UIQ platform. No more UIQ software from CPS. This is a test for the UIQ community. I assume you all post and read this forum because you have a UIQ phone. I also assume you would like further applications being developed for you phone. Please think before you ask for an application to be cracked from one of the few active deveoper companies still left. Do you work fro free? No? Then why should other people? CPS deserves some money for all the great work they have done for UIQ phones. Buy SME and keep UIQ alive a little longer  |
