Flipper - locks/unlocks keypad in flip-cover S60 3rd

Flipper is a very small Python application that does nothing but lock/unlock keypads in flip (clamshell) phones. When running in the background it will lock/unlock the keypad no mater if the screen is idle or not. I think it’s useful if you want to close your phone and be sure that the keypad is immediately locked (not to wait some seconds for autolock)

As far as I know it works only on S60 3rd systems (due to some caps required).

The SIS was made with Ensymble and was signed with the default cert. I tried running this app on 2 hacked Nokias and I had no problems.

If you do get a problem while installing this app try signing it yourself – make sure to check the SwEvent cap.

The rar file contains all necessary files (except for PYS60 distro and shell ext. ) to run the app. Readme file contains info on bugs and other things

If anybody wants to improve and develop this app then go ahead – “.py” file is also attached.

As I am the guy who wrote this script I wish to forestall some questions that may occur – sorry but I’m not planning to work on this project anymore. The app does what I want it to do and I’m not interested in further development.

If somebody tests Flipper on other (than 6650 Fold) S60 3rd flip phone like N76, N75, N93, 6290, N71, N92 or even E70 (<- perhaps) please post if it works.
